Pathologic Fracture
• Definition: A fracture occur r ing in bone we akened by dise ase (e.g., osteoporosis, c ancer, Pagetʼs dise ase).
• Mechanism of Injur y: Minimal or no trauma.
Stress Fracture
• Definition: A small crack in the bone c aused by repetitive stress.
• Mechanism of Injur y: Overuse or repetitive lo ading.
