Hairline Fracture
• Definition: A thin, incomplete fracture that may not be visible on initial X-rays.
• Mechanism of Injur y: Repetitive stress or minor trauma.
Fatigue Fracture
• Definition: A t ype of stress fracture c aused by abnor mal stress on a nor mal bone.
• Mechanism of Injur y: Overuse, especially in weight-be ar ing bones.
