colleagues as too unfeminine for them to be subjects.
“Well, let's take today's course. I sit down at the table. "
She turns and heads for a table overlooking Copenhagen's skyline opposite the
harbour.
"What do you want to drink?" Tom asks, before she reaches outside the
conversation radius.
"Just ice water," she replies casually, and goes and sits down at the table she has
been looking forward to.
Tom quickly finishes the order and arrives at the table with the jug of ice water
in one hand and a coke for himself in the other. After pouring into the glasses for
both of them, he sits down heavily on the sofa opposite her with both arms
stretched down the side and palms of the sofa seat. For a while, they silently
consider the team of accountants who are in high spirits entering the restaurant.
It is a mixed company made up of accountants from different nations. It is always
good entertainment to hear the different nationalities speak in English with their
own accent. Olina looks thoughtfully ahead of her as she lets a finger run around
the edge of the glass.
"Well let's say goodbye, even if we have nothing to celebrate yet."
They smile at each other and raise the glasses.
"I'm going to drive out and talk to Johan's ex-wife here in the late afternoon."
Olina looks at him in wonder.
"You do not intend to start with the case at point zero?"
“I have been in the process from point zero. No follow-up interrogation was
done by any of those involved at the time, and I have an idea that it could be the
key or at least an important piece of the game. You could also say it in the way
that my perfectionism commands me a certain system, so that I can move
forward in planning. "
Olina suddenly wakes up from the feeling of being in a vacuum that she has had
for some time.
"Well you do, I can see some logic in that. Do you also want to take care of him
the pimple that disappeared that year?"
"No, we know that Johan's last job was as an advertising draftsman at Kräsen, so
that's why I'm concentrating on him."
