The architectural firm Meiner and Weisel have largely been given free creative
control of the building, and in collaboration with Claire they’ve mastered the
craft. Meiner and Weisel wanted enhance the original details of the building,
improving the former periods glory and pompousness, while everything modern
added to the construction has Claire been responsible for.
Those who are curious enough have discreetly switched to the fund's website to
see what the LG-1000 Fund is all about.
The Board's website simply states:
“The aim of the LG-1000 Fund is to promote German culture. The fund chooses
liberally from areas such as architecture, landscaping, cultural purposes and
children's rights, which have the special attention of the fund. ”
In Augsburg, no one is concerned with who it is that overflows the city with
money. The only ones who have trouble dealing with the city's sudden
popularity are the city councils, which have trouble getting the infrastructure up-
to-date so that they don't jeopardize the city's attractiveness. The mayor has to
deal with the dissatisfaction of his own colleagues on an almost daily basis. They
want the plans to take form.
The citizens of the city find it very difficult to hide their pride, which is precisely
why Augsburg that has become the city that it is today, where the rich have
begun to let the money flow, causing the revival of trade and restoration; a
playground for the wealthy.
At the bottom of the property, where the LG-1000 resides, has the
photographer, Mathias Gustavson. It’s the smallest one of the six leases located in
the building. He often sits staring out the window in the absence of assignments.
Could it be a known fashion model, a well-known actor or maybe one from the
jet set milieu? But he has to reluctantly acknowledge, that he is not completely
up to date with the latest new stars; he actually hates himself for that. As a new
photographer, that’s something that he should’ve known about.
Mathias just recently opened a photo studio called GRAPH - ART AND
PHOTOGRAPHY. He is well pleased with the setting.
Everything in the studio is kept in off-white, but the interior is eggshell-white,
emphasizing his nuance he has in his artwork. By the two ceiling-to-floor
