Dear reader,
Welcome to the second part of the Tennis Club – a series spanning ten books. Before we
dive into the drama, I will briefly introduce you to the Tennis Club: its history, its members,
and the unique environment that shapes this narrative. This novel is the first of two
interconnected works in the series (volumes 2 and 3) and features an extensive cast of
characters and dramatic events spanning Denmark and the USA. To give you the best
starting point, we begin with an introduction to the main characters and places. The story
centers on two families – Andrew and his famous but dysfunctional family, who own the
bunker company Energistak Corporation, and Edward Jain, owner of the shipping giant
Nauti Trade Logistics. Both families are members of the Tennis Club, an exclusive
association for the wealthiest citizens. Their rivalry has simmered for decades and has
developed into a deadly feud, where intrigues, power struggles, and hidden secrets
threaten to tear their world apart. Everything culminates in a fateful incident at sea, which
will change everything. But what is the Tennis Club really? The club is located in the heart
of Denmark's wealthiest area and has been home to the country's economic elite since the
1800s. Behind the facade of luxury and perfection lies an environment marked by ambition,
jealousy, and betrayal – all wrapped in discreet surroundings, where nothing is shared with
the outside world without further ado. Members live on the edge of society's norms, where
their privileged status grants access to a life most can only dream of. But as you will
discover, their world also has a dark side. This story is based on real events and people.
Through research, interviews, and consent from those involved – including relatives of
those we have lost – I have created a portrait of a world few get insight into. The wild
parties, the hidden deals, and the big decisions made behind closed doors are all part of
the story. Some details may be embellished by the passage of time, but the emotions and
conflicts driving this book are authentic. So get ready. You are now invited inside the Tennis
Club – a place where masks fall, and secrets are revealed. This is the story of Andrew,
Edward, and a conflict that has taken generations to build up, but only one catastrophe to
tear down. A bit about some of the members in the tennis club. The chair couple is what
one would describe as a "power couple." Lissie is the editor-in-chief of a major European
fashion magazine, and Tom is the CEO and owner of one of the country’s largest shipping
companies. They live in a modernized half-timbered villa in Skovshoved, a property of 800
square meters spread over three floors. Their villa is a listed building, surrounded by
similar historic structures, making the area one of Denmark’s most preservation-worthy
regions. Through his connections, Tom managed to get permission to build a modern glass
atrium as an extension to their living room, enabling them to host over 30 guests with a
stunning view of the Öresund Strait. The fact that they achieved this without major protests
clearly reflects their status and ability to navigate social and legal systems with
