“Eat, drink, when we're done, we go. Do you mind turning on the TV? ”
George gets up and heads towards the television, huge black box. he turns it on
and cranks up the volume.
"It weighs a ton, so it may well be that I got it cheap, but I can barely move it
around."
Jack had been cursing like hell, when he had to place it couple of months ago.
"My fucking back!" he had been saying, while breathing heavily with sweat
hailing down his big fat back; he almost threw the TV into place in the small
living room.
A weird children's program with some creepy troll-like characters appeared on
the screen. It should represent a boy and a girl troll. The boy spoke with a
particularly distorted voice, where it is all too clear that it is an adult man is
trying to speak like a child.
The troll, who was supposed to be a youngster, was wearing blue overalls, while
the other troll was wearing a red apron.
"May I borrow your lighter?"
Janokovic is so focused on the television, not answering, just simply pushing his
lighter across the tiled table.
"Thanks."
George immediately grabs the lighter, crouches forward, and with a well-
practiced motion the pale boy begins to sniff the gas.
Without moving his gaze from the screen, Janokovic mutters: "Don't sniff too
much of that shit."
Janokovic looks over at George with a sceptical look. George has now put the
lighter all the way up to his nose, he shields with one hand as he lets the gas seep
into his nostrils - interchangeably.
"We have get home to your dad, so you can have your medicine mate."
Janokovic is used to the sniffing on the streets, with the gang, but he hate it at his
own home.
George doesn't answer, but lets himself fall back on the sofa with his eyes closed.
