You may alternatively make this sinnet by
twisting the pairs of strands (pair #1 and #2, pair
#3 and #5, pair #4 and #6) toward the centre each
time, as in regular braiding, to keep the upper strand
always on top. Either way, it is a very satisfying braid
to make.
Here is the third method result, looking like the
Three-Strand Braid, but doubled and with a subtle
difference in the tight braided appearance. Notice
that the upper strand in each pair is always the up-
per strand on each side.
Method 4
The fourth of our Six-Strand Sinnets takes the
normal Three-Strand Braid, with doubled strands,
and treats each pair of strands separately by splitting
them over and under each other to produce a
different look, especially when using two or three
colours of strands. Take a look:
2 – move #4 left under #3…
1 Split the cords two left and four right,
