This particular invention is by Bernard Cutbush,
who is from the U.K. He developed his own method
of expanding the knot to provide more petals. The
original method of making it was recorded by Stuart
Grainger in the International Guild of Knot Tyers’
Journal, Knotting Matters.
3 now Crown Knot each individual line over its
anti-clockwise partner.
1 starting with eight cords here, although any
number divisible by two will also do well, prepare
to make Crown Knots with each pair of cords.

pairs of cords.
5 take each strand in turn and pass
it over two loops then down
into the space between the
second loop and the centre.
