Notice that with the last two starts, there was a
round turn or more than one round turn to begin
the knot. Then there followed a series of over-
under moves to form the knot, including some over,
over passes to form the typical ‘railway tracks’, or
ladders, that we have seen before. Despite the fact
that both knots are odd bights, odd leads, there is
no consistency between them as to how they may
be formed! Adding another turn or half turn does
nothing for us because it alters the pattern of over,
under that follows. Let us pursue some other Wide 1
TH Knots. Start at 3L, make two round
Continuing the starts for Wide Three-Bight TH turns to 3R.
Knots, the 10L3B has Start C (this time an even
number of leads, and an odd number of bights).
