                  2        now wrap the fifth cord over the pair to the   3   tuck the right cord behind the pair and the left

                                                                                   the ‘top bight’ of the knot switches
                                                                                   sides in alternating rows.







                                              This shows a series of square knots formed and being
                                              formed and the progression of building multiple knots
                                              in one piece. Note how the cord pairs keep switching,
                                              so that a triangle in progress is formed.
