FOOTBALL FOOTBALL COACHING STAFF COACHING STAFF
Jack Rhoades
Assistant Offensive Coach | Wide Receivers
Coach Jack Rhoades is in his 11th year of coaching and in 2024 returned
to Westlake after spending a year away to coach with his Dad in his final
season at C.H. Yoe HS. He was previously the passing game coordinator at
Little Elm and the offensive coordinator at Gregory-Portland. He attended
Texas State University, where he majored in mathematics and was a football
team captain his senior year. He is a graduate from Yoe HS. Coach Rhoades
and his wife Erin have a daughter named Colbie.
Adam Ayala
Assistant Defensive Coach | Defensive Line
Coach Adam Ayala is entering his 10th year of coaching and his first year at
Westlake HS. Before joining the Westlake staff, he coached at The University
of Texas at El Paso as a graduate assistant, Pebble Hills HS and Coronado HS
in El Paso. Coach Ayala graduated from Huntsville HS and received his
bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and master’s degree in
Leadership Studies from UTEP where he also played football.
Jon Luke
Assistant Offensive Coach | Offensive Line
Coach Jon Luke is in his 25th year of coaching and teaching and his fifth
year at Westlake HS. His previous coaching stops include Cedar Park
HS (state finalist 2020), Hutto HS, Seguin HS, Pflugerville Connally HS,
Round Rock Stony Point HS, Georgetown HS, Round Rock Westwood
HS and his alma mater, Dickinson HS. Coach Luke held offensive
coordinator duties at Pflugerville Connally and Seguin where he was
also the assistant head coach.
Coach Luke received his Bachelor of Business Administration - Manage-
ment degree from Texas State University, where he was also a four-year
letterman and two-year starter on the offensive line for the Bobcats.
After Texas State, he was an offensive graduate assistant coach with
football at Baylor University while earning a Master of Science in Educa-
tion degree. Coach Luke teaches Personal Financial Literacy and World
History at Westlake. Coach Luke and his wife, Jenny, have four children:
Cole, Hunter, Callie and Hudson.
