CCCC Tennis Facility Upgrade Project 2022 Update
Rain, rain go away, please come back another day or when our tennis court project is done. Since the start of the
project (August 1) we have had 15 inches of rain, I would like to report that we are still on schedule.
The overlay process will be completed on Monday weather permitting – fingers crossed. This includes the north
side of courts 9 and 10 and repairing the back entrance to the club.
Bolt Energy Group has completed the LED Lighting project, they worked between showers and even as late as nine
at night. Before taking down the old lights, we measured the lumens on most of the courts and they averaged
around 50 lumens. Your new LED lights output have an average lumen of 105 on each court. Get ready for daylight
at night.
South Texas Canvas has eight of the awning structures up and are currently cementing them in. They will return
12
on Monday and start on the back eight structures.
S&J Fencing started today installing the railings for the new black vinyl coated fence. This process should take
about a week and a half.
Premier Courts will start on the 19th resurfacing the courts, this will give the fence company time to complete
the fence project. The court resurfacing will start with courts 4, 5 and 6. If all goes well, we should be back on
the courts October 1st.
If you have any questions concerning the project, court reservations, or lessons please call me at the tennis shop
at (361) 991-7561 or on my cell (361) 815-5979. I would love to hear from you.
Thank you for your patience,
