Dear Chaverim: ד"סב
As Religious Zionists, we have reason to be proud!
On a national level our Medina continues to be an םיוגל רוא,
A Light unto the Nations. Whether leading the world in Torah
learning and teaching, Hi-Tech, Covid vaccinations or lending their
expertise to other countries/states, including to Florida during the
tragic Surfside disaster, our homeland has represented us well.
On a local level, for the past year Mizrachi - Religious Zionists of
Chicago persevered successfully maintaining many programs and
projects despite the challenges. We took advantage of the virtual
world and expanded our programs and the audience we reached.
Baruch HaShem we were able to:
1. Send our Kol Shabbat eNewsletter to 914 subscribers weekly.
2. Distribute over 1400 copies of each issue of HaMizrachi
magazine in the Chicago area.
3. Watch with pride as so many of our brave IDF chayalim were
served by the Chicago Mizrachi Pina Chama in Itamar,
endowed by us in honor of the Chayalim Bodedim from our
community. RZC has committed to provide for ongoing
maintenance, assuring that the Pina Chama is always well
stocked and ready to serve the valiant IDF soldiers.
4. Created a truly unique Tales of Jerusalem video which globally
expanded our audience for our Yom Yerushalayim celebration
and Youth Art Contest.
5. Nearly completed our RZC Center outdoor plaza remodeling
and security improvements.
Our future plans include:
6. Continuing the remodeling of our RZC Center building,
7. Adding programs for college-age students and young adults,
8. Strengthening the Together as One connection with Kiryat Gat,
9. Finding innovative ways to advance Aliya and Israel advocacy.
Please join with us as members, to reassert our link to Am Yisrael,
and – proudly – to the Medina. Let us share this excitement together
and reconnect through our shared love for and commitment to Israel.
Wishing all the chaverim and Am Yisrael a K’tiva V’Chatima Tova;
a healthy, safe & wonderful year.
Dr. Oren Lakser, President
