HORIZON, 2020-21
annual sports report
The covid-19 pandemic has forced a global
shutdown. Sports events have either been
cancelled or postponed and fitness centers
have been temporarily closed. The closure of
gyms and school have caused an impact on
their physical fitness. We as leaders felt
extremely devastated as we couldn’t conduct
our regular sporting events at our schools such
as intramurals, sports day, and the most
prestigious Khel Milan. We as sports secretaries
came up with an idea to encourage students to
indulge in physical activities by providing them
with exercise videos. Considering the huge
response received from the students of our
Vidyalaya, we wanted to create a group on
Whatsapp to encourage more students to
actively engage in physical activities and join us
in this journey to keep ourselves fit during this
ongoing pandemic.
We circulated the information about this group
to classes from 8th to 12th and we got a good
response of 90 students joining the group. Few
enthusiastic teachers were excited to join the
group and share their fitness activities as well.
