Building 731 Pavilion

As part of the Dupont Project Renaissance, Bancroft constructed a 7,400
LOCATION: SF facility consisting of a 5,200 SF outdoor covered picnic area and a 2,200

SF block and metal stud building with brick and metal panel siding. The
DESIGN PROFESSIONAL: Pavilion sits on a reinforced concrete slab with the perimeter of the slab
Kling Stubbins having an exposed aggregate finish. The building includes a kitchen, along
with men’s and women’s restrooms and shower areas. A motor-operated
DELIVERY METHOD: overhead rolling door opens to allow access to the kitchen food serving

counter. Adjacent to the overhead rolling door is a concealed, large motor-
ized projection screen for viewing from the picnic area.
The project included mechanical, electrical and plumbing work for the
building and for lighting and fans under the Pavilion roof. Outside of the
Pavilion is a recreational area for employees and visitors to the site which in-
cludes a children’s playground area, a sand volleyball court and a horseshoe
pit. The project also includes exposed aggregate sidewalks, bike racks,
rainwater collection basins and landscaping.
