Design Statement: Bernardon continued its long-standing
relationship with Kendal~Crosslands during the recent
completion of the renovations to The Pond’s Edge Café at
Crosslands. Architecture and interior design services were
initially planned to be completed in two phases: Phase I
included the renovations to the existing Dining Room with
Phase II focused on the renovation of the Café Servery
that supports the Dining Room. However, during the
construction of Phase I, it became evident to Crosslands that
COVID was going to have a long-term effect on how they complemented the initial design that provided for a dining
venue that is more welcoming, provides better circulation, and
provide service in the Café Servery (Phase II). This expedited maximizes square footage.
