Design Statement: ChristianaCare engaged Bernardon to
create a new clinical space within the Concord Health Center
to expand their practice to provide sports medicine services.
The approximately 4,700 SF clinical space serves as a one-
stop shop for orthopedic and physical therapy rehab services.
Since the space is a movement-related modality, Bernardon
focused on integrating a bright, dynamic color scheme
through light and artwork to aid in energizing both patients
and staff. With the goal of bringing the outside in, elements
of nature are present throughout the space and its bright waiting area, indicating a sense of constant movement. The
color scheme serves to help guide patients toward a path of examination area includes 10 exam rooms with seven rooms
healing. The waiting area highlights the ChristianaCare logo, dedicated to physical rehab services and three dedicated to
reinforcing a sense of branding. The check-in area is clean, rotating schedules of services. Two team areas within the
modern, and streamlined in design while also providing space are designed to be compact, yet functional.
