Michael Acevedo SR. ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

As a Sr. Electrical Engineer, Michael is responsible for performing code analysis,
evaluating design alternatives, producing construction documents and providing
assistance during construction.

Michael is experienced in the design of electrical systems for institutional,
commercial, educational and industrial facilities. His experience includes design of:

• Power Distribution Systems
• Emergency and standby power distribution systems including generators
and UPS systems for life safety, medical and data processing
applications.
• Wire management systems including extensive work with power
communications cable tray systems. Input/output wire flow from DDC
systems.
• Station communication and data wiring design.
• Electrically classified hazardous electrical systems, control and lighting.
• Motor control systems including interfacing with DDC system and
programmable logic controllers.
• Fire alarms signaling systems.

Michael has contributed to the electrical design of facilities in both a lead role and
as part of a team on larger projects. He has extensive knowledge of industry
building code requirements and focuses on specific client standards and
requirements. He has conducted thorough field surveys of existing facilities to
determine project design solutions. Michael’s attention to detail allows him to
create designs that are complete and well thought out. In all projects, Michael
works closely with maintenance and facilities professionals to ensure a common
understanding of existing systems, past problems requiring correction, and
proposed new technology.

One of Michael’s strength’s is his communication skills. Michael is able to
effectively and clearly communicate to the project team, customer and construction
team.
