Kendal~Crosslands Communities | Cottages at Kendal at Longwood

Location: Kennett Square, Pennsylvania

Design Statement: The 48 new cottages designed by
Bernardon have set a new benchmark in residential
architecture for Kendal~Crosslands. Five (5) different
floor plans range from 1,250 SF to 3,775 SF, and all have
a three-season room, an open-plan kitchen, nine- and ten-
foot ceilings, and a garage. The cottages are situated in the
rolling terrain so that each one has natural vistas rather
than views of adjacent houses.

The project has received LEED Gold certification by the
U.S. Green Building Council. The houses have geothermal
heating and air conditioning systems that efficiently
use heat in different seasons, as well as high-efficiency
appliances, lighting, windows, and water heating, and “These are truly lovely cottages. The rooms
