Silvassa - Grade -7 and 8




                                                                                                        Excursions are a great way to reinforce learning and
                                                                                                        bonding. For the Academic Year 2019-20, in January,
                                                                                                        the students of  Grades 5, 7 and 8 went for an outing to

                                                                                                        Silvasa.


                                                                                                        They enjoyed themselves in the natural environment,

                                                                                                        learning and developing a variety of  life skills outside
                                                                                                        their classroom. Not only did they bond closer with their
                                                                                                        friends but also learnt to be good  Team members.


                                                                                                        They loved the adventurous sports like zip line, rifle
                                                                                                        shooting, commando bridge crossing, ladder crossing

                                                                                                        etc.  Their  visit  to  ‘The  Man  Foods  Factory’,  ‘Parle
                                                                                                        Factory’, Deer park and Lion safari were a part of  the

                                                                                                        experiential learning.

                                                                                                        Visit to the Tribal Museum was insightful as students

                                                                                                        were exposed to the heritage and ecology of  the tribal
                                                                                                        community. They learnt about various forms of  tribal

                                                                                                        expressions,  such  as  a  stone  funerary  column,  grass
                                                                                                        ornaments,  stuffed  birds,  wood-carving,  clay  ritual

                                                                                                        objects,  and  much  more.  They  loved  shopping  for
                                                                                                        delicacies, marble items and wooden handicrafts too.

                                                                                                        Overall the trip was fruitful, leaving the Goldcrestians

                                                                                                        with happy memories.
