Silvassa - Grade -7 and 8
Excursions are a great way to reinforce learning and
bonding. For the Academic Year 2019-20, in January,
the students of Grades 5, 7 and 8 went for an outing to
Silvasa.
They enjoyed themselves in the natural environment,
learning and developing a variety of life skills outside
their classroom. Not only did they bond closer with their
friends but also learnt to be good Team members.
They loved the adventurous sports like zip line, rifle
shooting, commando bridge crossing, ladder crossing
etc. Their visit to ‘The Man Foods Factory’, ‘Parle
Factory’, Deer park and Lion safari were a part of the
experiential learning.
Visit to the Tribal Museum was insightful as students
were exposed to the heritage and ecology of the tribal
community. They learnt about various forms of tribal
expressions, such as a stone funerary column, grass
ornaments, stuffed birds, wood-carving, clay ritual
objects, and much more. They loved shopping for
delicacies, marble items and wooden handicrafts too.
Overall the trip was fruitful, leaving the Goldcrestians
with happy memories.
