Workshops
1. Persona - A GHV Parents Initiative: The workshop ‘L‘ Persona – The Real Me’ was organized by TWW COFFEE with Youth for
students and parents to build effective Public speaking skills and to create a confident persona (body language).
2. Fortis Psyched Quiz : ‘Psyched Quiz’, an annual event initiated at Fortis Hiranandani Hospital, Vashi was organized for students of
Goldcrest High. Four students represented the school in the Quiz. The objective of conducting this Quiz was to create an awareness of
Psychological concepts and theories to evoke interest in the field of Psychology.
3. Unmute Yourself : On World Mental Health Day, celebrated on 10th October, a workshop for students was conducted which
focussed on various aspects of Mental Health such as the importance of speaking out, to ‘Unmute’ oneself and the role of emotions in
contributing to the overall well-being of an individual. This interactive session ensured that students got a platform to ask any question
related to stress, emotions, role of friendship and barriers to speaking out. The students were able to understand the importance of
sharing and expressing feelings with others, instead of bottling them inside and hiding them from others.
4. Caring for the Environment : Students participated in the Pro social Peer Moderator Programme, which was organized at Fortis
Hospital, Vashi. The topic was 'Caring for the Environment'. Various schools participated in this session, providing a new perspective
on the different ways of protecting the environment. The session gave the students an insight into the overall condition of the
Environment and how it affects us and the practical ways in which an individual can care for the environment around them. The session
ended with gaining tips and strategies on how to care for the environment in the day-to day life of students.
5. Exam Anxiety and Study Skills : This workshop was conducted by Fortis for the higher secondary students of Goldcrest High on
'Exam Anxiety and Study Skills'. The session was divided into two parts. Part 1, focussed on Steps to Success and
Part 2, focussed on exam stress-busting tips, and strategies.
The Steps to Success covered various aspects such as Short term and Long term goals, keeping a positive attitude and maintaining a
healthy routine.
The different strategies to cope with exam stress were use of Mnemonics, Improving focus, Revision routine and Study tips to be
followed before the exam, during the exam and after the exam.
