It is an honor for me to welcome you to our 8th Annual Mother’s Day Award Concert. I am extremely grateful to Almighty God for the privilege and opportunity to honor some of our pillars from around the Turks and Caicos Islands.
I take this time to congratulate each mother who is being honored tonight.
We would like to thank every one of you for your labor and sacrifice in nation building over the years. Mothers are the glue that keeps everything together. Mothers are nurses, teachers, chefs, caretakers, mechanics, singers, actors, security guards, counselors, tailors, and so much more.
A mother’s faith encourages us to do the impossible. Their arms are always open when you need a hug; their hearts are always understanding when you need a friend; and
their gentle eyes are stern when you need a lesson in tough love. Their strength and love guide you and give you the wings you need to fly.
Mothers hold their children’s hands for a short while, but their hearts hold them forever.
Give them the roses while they live, trying to cheer them on, because useless the flflowers that you give after the soul is gone.
We dedicate this day to you, just to say THANK YOU for your love and support, and we honor and appreciate you.
