I became a part of the Stubbs family forty years ago; and grew to know my mother in law as a praying woman. Her prayers were so powerful that it would seem that she and everyone in her company were somehow transported to another realm.
Angela recorded one of her prayers on or about February 1 2020 and sent it to Peter who was at the time hospitalized at HOMS in Santiago, Dominican Republic. This prayer was the catalyst for Peter’s complete surrender to God.
Mimi/Granmima/Ole Gal, your presence in this family will forever be remembered.
Have a good rest. We love and miss you but God loves you best.
YOUR DAUGHTER-IN-LAW
Tribute to my dear mum Jeminer Louise Stubbs she will be greatly missed. I met her after being transferred from Grand Turk to work in Providenciales as a very young police officer. As you know, being young and in another country you feel kind of lost. I met Peter and Judy along with others from Providenciales, they introduced me to their mom, who became my mom. After that introduction, the rest is history.
She made me feel at home, to which I am truly grateful. This bond is so great that a few close members of my Barbados Family and she, as well as my siblings of The Stubbs Family all share the same birthdays.
She will always be missed and in our hearts.
May her soul rest in peace and rise in

This all feels so surreal, Mimi you not only spoke about love, but you showed it. I will miss your hugs, kisses and hearing you say “Look at my boy!” Your motherly love shown towards me, you corrected me when needed and gave me words of advice. I will always cherish these memories and will always love you.
