My Grandfather completed his Theology Diploma and became an Ordained
Minister in 2016.
The tragic loss of his two brothers only three months apart at the tender age of
9, was the motivating factor which introduced an extensive Christian logging.
Too many questions existed for which no human being could possibly provide
adequate answers, is the reason why my grandfather showed interest in getting
as much Christian Education in search for answers from our Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ. With this search for life’s answers, my grandfather started
studying Theology and was eventually Ordained as a Minister in 2016.
CONCLUSION
From early on dedication, strong will and a sense to “serve “his fellow man has
always been on the forefront of my grandfather life, and for most of his life being
a military man, being a soldier has been what he is. It was never a switch that
was turned off when I visited him. The way he speaks, the way he tells stories
and the way he teaches new things. The Military is part of who he is, it is part of
his core. It is a great honour and a privilege to have him as my grandfather, I
regard myself as lucky.
There is discipline in a Soldier you can see when he walks,
There is Honour in a Soldier you hear when he talks.
There is courage in a Soldier that he will not compromise.
There is something that makes a Soldier stand apart,
There is strength in a Soldier that beats from his heart.
A Soldier isn`t a title any man can be hired to do,
A soldier is a soul of a man buried deep inside of you.
A Soldier`s job isn`t finished after an 8hour day or a 40hour week,
A Soldier is always a Soldier even when he sleeps.
A Soldier serves his country first and his life is left behind,
A soldier has to sacrifice what comes first in a civilian`s mind.
If you are civilian – I am saying this to you….. next time you see a Soldier
remember what they do.
A soldier is the reason our land is “ home of the free “ A Soldier is the one that is
brave protecting you and me.
If you are a Soldier – I am saying this to you ….. Thank God for every Soldier;
Thank God for what you do !
