legendary New Yorker Joan Rivers. It was a respect for the late comedian and a
new-found journalistic nose that interested Ryan in the presenting role.

"All the comedians I know are really curious about the world, and we’re supposed to

notice things that other people don’t notice in their own lives. I think if you can do that
in a comedic way it is a really good way to interview someone, because right away

they’re going to tell you more than they would in a sit-down journalist piece.

"It also seemed like a challenge because I wasn’t sure if I was going to get on with

these people or not, and I’m sure that they don’t get teased a lot. When you get to be
that wealthy you can just chuck someone off your yacht if you feel like it.
