Mary’s Meals Goose turns out fair
Despite poor weather, the Goose Fair netted
Since 10th October (World Porridge Day) Tavistock Rotary Club an amazing £843 this

October, members Christmas QUIZ
entered into two
competitions: If you want to revitalise your brain cells over the
“Porridge Smiles” and Christmas period, why not try out Les Rendell’s charity
“Guess the Mileage”. A quiz in aid of Children’s Hospice South West,
£2 donation enabled supported by Tiverton Rotary Club. To obtain a copy

photography skills were challenged taking pictures
of a “Smiley Face” of porridge.
A total of £70 has been raised to send to Mary’s
Meals which will provide 1,000 meals to
disadvantaged children. Prizes were provided by
The Ebrington Arms and a mystery sponsor.
Mary’s Meals feeds over 1 million children each
day and recently this charity passed the one
billion meals mark! Thank you to Peter and his
sponsor for their efforts.
