Santa on Exmoor

The Santa Sleigh collections by Exmoor Rotary
Club raised the magnificent sum of £2600. This
included over £800 from sponsors. Exmoor would
like to thank to all their collectors, drivers, Santas
and particularly Tony Conway for all his hard
work.

                                                        “We wanted to make sure we weren’t the
                                                        Cinderella of Boutport Street,” said a spokesman.
                                                        “If you’d have accepted five beans at the till, who
                                                        knows where they could have taken you?”

                                                        The shopkeeper added: “We were not Scrooge-
                                                        like, as goodwill was dispensed to all those who
                                                        crossed our threshold, seeking the bargains of the
                                                        year.”

                                                        Barnstaple’s Rotary Shop is not just for
                                                        Christmas, we understand, but is open from 10am
                                                        and 4pm this year
