Kind of a narrative text is:
Fables
Fables
A Fable a story featuring animals, plants or forces of nature which are
anthropomorphized (given human qualities).
A fable always ends with a moral value which was intended as the lesson. This is the
lesson that is intended to be learnt through reading the story.
Functions of a fable are:
to entertain or to amuse the readers about the interesting story
to convey moral messages or lessons to the readers.
The Characteristics of a fable are:
using at least one bad character
using simple plot and character
involving a character who is sly or clever
using animals or elements of nature who act like human
containing a moral lesson which can be found in the end of the story
using personification
containing a funny and amusing story
reflecting cultural beliefs.
The Generic Structure of a fable is:

Orientation The opening paragraph to introduce about the characters as
(Introduction) well as the setting of the story
Complication/Problem It explores the conflict among the participants
Resolution It tells how the characters solve the problems aroused by the
conflict
