Practical Information
Stores
Most of shops are closed between noon and 4 pm as well as Sundays and Public Holidays in Gustavia.
In St Jean the stores around Nikki Beach are most of the time open on Sundays and Public Holidays.
Gas Stations
There are 2 gas stations on the island. Both are closed on Sundays and Public holidays.
Lorient: Opened from 7.30 am to 5 pm, Thursdays and Saturdays from 7.30 am to 12.30 pm. Closed Sundays.
Saint Jean: Opened from 8 am to 12 pm and from 3 pm to 6 pm. Closed on Sundays.
After 6 pm, an automatic system with credit card is available. Chip credit card with Pin Code and NO AMEX.
Currency and Banks
The Euro is the local currency but most of shops, restaurants and hotels accept U.S Dollars.
Visa, MasterCard and American Express are accepted almost everywhere.
Banks (mainly in Gustavia):
Monday to Friday from 8 am to noon and from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Closed on Wednesdays.
