                          NOTICE FROM THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

              This edition is likely to be the last All Hands journal unless a new
                                                editor volunteers.

                All Hands is in distress Are you prepared to
               and requires immediate help as editor or

                         assistance                                                 journalist?

             All Hands journal is our ‘Jewel in the Crown’. Due to unforeseeable circumstances
             mentioned elsewhere in this edition we need a member to volunteer as editor who
             will pro-actively oversee the preparation and distribution of the journal.

             Support will be provided whilst settling in and the process is clearly explained in
             All Hands guidelines documented in 2016 to safeguard continuity.
             The editor’s responsibilities were much simplified two years ago when technical
             tasks previously done by the Editor were transferred to our printers in the UK.

             The editor’s duties are to:

             1) Source, encourage and receive content electronically;
             2) Select from articles submitted, edit for suitability, grammar etc.;
             3) Email approved articles to UK printers DEK who construct the journal;
             4) Oversee a peer review of the final draft version for publication.

             Members supply content and a small team reviews the final draft. Everything is
             done electronically so it is feasible for the editor to live anywhere in the world.

             We also invite members to volunteer as reporters to assist the editor locate suitable
             content.
                           To volunteer for the All Hands Rescue Crew please email
             wachair@warsashassociation.net and waahed@warsashassociation.net indicating
                                whether you wish to become editor or a reporter.
