Life Changing Decisions

Kicking off the monthly safety focus in 2022 is
Life Changing Decisions. Life Changing Decisions (LCD)

are the core of our safety culture at Loram. The eight
LCDs are critical to each employee’s wellbeing. Eve-
ryone can think of a time when we needed to make

the safe decision around one of these items. How
could the outcome have been different if a shortcut was

taken? As we gather back together and start the
year, take advantage of the opportunity. Brief on the
LCD’s and commit to making the right decisions. As

you may find out, everyone’s understanding or skillset
may be different. Ensure everyone is on the same
page and committed to working safely.

Many times, we may not realize our decisions
are putting our team or ourselves at risk. It takes an
entire team willing to Stop the Line and speak up when

something is wrong. As we gain more experience,
our tolerance for risk may also change. Take this into
consideration when discussing Life Changing Deci-

sions. Knowing the safe course is one thing, but will
we perform it? Creating an environment of Safety

Excellence is made one decision at a time, every sin-
gle day. Be willing to have the discussion and find the
safe course.
