RGS8 Continued

were able to move RGS8 to The Port Terminal Railroad in Houston to stage for ocean transport.
After arriving in Houston in August 2021, Loram’s Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Logistics teams worked tirelessly
to get the commercial terms and transport needs finalized, which again sounded much easier than reality. After
months and months of back and forths, stop-and-

gos, and unknowns we finally got the North
American portion of RGS8’s journey confirmed in
January 2022 and successfully loaded RGS8 onto a
cargo vessel.

Emirates was a blended crew consisting of three
Loram UK and two Loram M/W employees. On
March 21, 2022, RGS8 was successfully unloaded
on Etihad Rail near Al Mirfa, UAE. After nearly 10
months of preparation, hard work, and undoubta-
ble frustration, RGS8 was finally ready to begin
th
production on March 28 , 2022. With the arrival
of an RGS machine in the Arabian Peninsula, Lo-
ram is now set up for tremendous long-term suc-
cess in a region with expanding railway infrastruc-
ture.
