and grooves which begin a hydraulic leak. Because of these pits and grooves, a new o-ring would not be able to seal
properly and just continue to leak.
The intent of this article is not to restrict the use of a particular soap, solvent, degreaser, or industrial clean-
er. It is not even to get out of washing the machines on cooler days. Rather, it is to bring it to everyone’s attention
that when washing a machine, you may have to rinse off or cover items in the areas that you are washing, that may or
may not be visible. There is nothing wrong with the cleaning chemicals we use, we just need to get smarter about the
use and application of them to avoid future unintended circumstances.
