What has been your favorite city you have been to while work-
ing at Loram and why?
My favorite city hands down is New Orleans, LA. Other than the humidity, the
food, the atmosphere, and the sights where amazing.
What is your favorite restaurant on the road and why?
Melt’s bar and grill in Cleveland, Ohio. Just love the assortment of mac n’ cheese
they have.
Do you have any mentors? If so, who are they and why do you
consider them a mentor?
One of the Chief Engineers I worked with up in Alaska, Pete. He taught me a lot
and showed me a lot. He wasn’t afraid to let me do my own thing, and if I was wrong or messed up, would show me how to do it
the right way.
If you had one thing you would like to be known for what would it be?
Being a good father, that’s all I could ask for.
What is a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of? (It can be at any company.)
I have a few, being a chief engineer up in Alaska. Being a conductor for the Union Pacific. And being an Operator for Loram.
What are some of the things you find challenging about your work?
Dealing with some of the pilots I get. Most are great and we get along really well, but sometimes I get one and think to myself,
how’d you make it this far with the railroad.
What are some of the things you enjoy the most about your work?
Different places, especially seeing things along the right of way you wouldn’t see if I didn’t work here.
Which historical figure would you most like to meet and why?
George Washington, one of our founding fathers.
Have you ever met anyone famous? If yes, who?
Yes, I have, Gunnery Sargeant R. Lee Ermey, he and a few other celeb’s were on base for a welcome home ceremony.
What is one thing you’re really bad at?
Dealing with large crowds.
What is one thing you’re really good at?
I’d like to think being a father on the road.
Are you a sports fan? Who are your favorite teams?
My favorite teams are the Los Angeles Dodgers, L.A. Kings, and the Las Vegas Raiders.
What are three things on your bucket list?
Visit every MLB stadium before I go.
