The House Fire

Some firefighters were running with hoses and

spraying water on the house. I stood there,
motionless and frightened. I couldn’t believe that

my disobedience had caused all of this chaos. I felt

so sorry, I started crying.

“Oh my gosh, my babies,” said Mom as she ran

over to us.

“Mommy, Mom!”, Elizabeth and I called out. “Are

you guys, okay? What happened?” asked Mom

anxiously.

“Mom, it was an accident,” I mumbled. I’m sorry for

disobeying you mom!” I cried.

Mom looked at me, disappointment written all over

her face.

“All that matters is that you’re all safe,” said Mom.

Just then, a firefighter approached us.
