The Storm We Prepared For
While we were outside we didn’t realize the storm
wasn’t actually over but it actually was just a time
of peace and quiet when the eye of the hurricane
was passing. So while we were looking around we
heard someone scream out, “Everybody get back
inside quickly, it’s not done yet.”
My family and I didn’t even wait for another word
to be said, we ran back to our house as though a
bad dog was chasing us.
Other people also came into our house because
our house was one of the only houses that still
had its roof on. There were doctors, scientists and
many other people who did different kinds of
jobs. Our house was packed full.
We were safe again inside of our house when it
happened again. The strong winds started to blow
as though it was mad at all the people inside.
