Honesty is the Best Policy

“Now” said Mr. Anderson “there are consequences
for wrong doings.”

“What is my punishment?” Vanessa asked timidly,
afraid that she might get a beating. But no, that
was not her punishment.

“You are going to bring in the wallet, I.D and the
money to the police station” said Mr. Anderson.

“But dad…….”

“No if, but or maybe, just do as I say and that will
be tomorrow.”

The next day Vanessa got ready and went off to
the nearest police station. Vanessa told the
policeman where she found the wallet and then
she left.

That night while Vanessa was listening to the news
she heard the news reporter announcing about a
lost wallet.
