A Picture of My Island Life
It was perfect timing as Mom and Dad were about
to order dessert. “Lilly, I was going to order you
your favorite: lime pie with coconut topping”.
Mom ordered the soursop ice cream for herself
and mango for Dad.
Mom said I could look at some more paintings
before we left. I glanced over at another painting
on the back wall of the restaurant. It was of two
little girls walking hand in hand.
