A Picture of My Island Life

One girl had round puffy cheeks and dimples and
the other a big smile and bold eyes. I peeped over
the picture frame and asked them if I could join
them for a walk.

“We are off to school”, the girl with the dimples
answered.

”Can I come with you?” I asked shyly.

“Sure, but we have a Social Studies test today”,
the girl answered.

“I don’t mind”, I answered. “Social Studies is my
favorite subject.”

The two girls introduced themselves to me. Their
names were Anna and Tia. Mrs Grimm, their
teacher, did not mind me joining them as a guest
student for the day. Soon we were writing the
test.
