(b) Data collection techniques

Choose one of the following data collection techniques.

 Questionnaires
 Interviews
 Participant Observation
 Secondary Data, for example, documents
 Or any other suitable technique.

Justification for use of technique may include any two of the following:

(i) type of study (design) for documents you
(ii) objectives of study but documents and
(iii) accessing the source of data; for example,
cannot use in an interview or questionnaire
(iv) content analysis re: objectives organization
(v) time to conduct study
cost of study

Correct, clear and complete statement giving reason 2 marks each
Limited statement giving reason 1 mark each

(c) Research instrument

Design a short questionnaire interview schedule or outline the steps in
the procedure used for the study (with five key questions).
Either fixed choice or open ended questions would be acceptable.

2 marks for each clear and correct item relevant to the study
1 mark for each partially clear item relevant to the study
