Honesty is the Best Policy
“Where did you get all that money?” shouted
Mrs. Anderson.“
“Who me?” Vanessa answered shaking with fear,
frightened of what her mother might do to her.
“Yes you, I found it below your mattress” said
Mrs. Anderson angrily.
“Mother, I don’t know where that money came
from.”
“Vanessa, don’t you ever lie to me, I saw you
putting that money below your mattress earlier.”
Vanessa didn’t know what else to say.
Her dad was so angry with what he had just heard
that he was about to march out of the room when
something in Vanessa’s waste bin caught his
attention.
