If Covid was Really a Dream
Just before school reopened, I was called to a
discussion with my mom. She had just completed
her Bachelor's degree in nursing at the All Saints
University and was awaiting graduation. I had
never seen my mom so excited about a discussion
and I too became excited. In the discussion, my
mom told me that she had been called to be a
nursing assistant at the COVID facility. I thought it
was another dream. I was so happy to know that
my dream was partially a reality through my mom.
A few days after, Mom left for her new job. Soon
after school began virtually and my aim was to
make Mommy proud while she was away from me
assisting the COVID-19 patients. Though she
would call every day and help me revise all of my
assignments, she was missed. The virtual classroom
was a challenge but at the end of Term One, Mom
was super proud of my results.
