Regional and International Energy Efficiency standards for Buildings

                                                i. International Energy Conservation Code (IECC)

The International Energy Conservation Code is a building code

developed by the International Code Council in 2000. It is a

model code adopted by many states and municipal
governments in the United States for the establishment of

minimum design and construction requirements for energy

ii. CARICOM Region Energy Efficiency Building Code (CREEBC)

CREEBC was developed to meet the needs of the CARICOM Region. These standards will cover
both residential and commercial construction that sets out the minimum energy efficiency

requirements for buildings, including the building envelope, cooling system, ventilation,

pumping, lighting and the service water-heating systems.
