Message from Mr. Vikram ThaparEvery year, it is a pleasure to etch a few words for
Udaan, the annual school magazine of Delhi Public School Newtown, which not only

provides a plethora of opportunities to our students for self-expression but is a
forum that highlights the achievements and milestones accomplished by the
institution.This year while the world witnessed an irony of fate with the Covid-19

pandemic, the subsequent lockdown inadvertently opened up innumerable avenues
for the education system. Our classrooms now look different; unique are our means

of transactions. Technology has pervaded every aspect of education. The entire
gamut of school education has undergone a transformation in the new virtual

learning process. It is at this juncture, that we need art and creativity more than
ever. The school magazine Udaan, this year successfully surfing the wave of

digitalization, has once again brought to the limelight the concealed skills and
ingenuity of our students. Just like the revamped education system, this magazine
too has been moulded to match the changing times. The times are tough, but

nothing could mar the indomitable spirit of the young artists and writers. Over the
years, DPS Newtown has built a tradition of excellence, and the e-magazine is just

another milestone that portrays the school’s growth and success. I congratulate the
Management, The Principal, Ms. Sonali Sen, the devoted Educators and an enriched

Editorial Board for their commendable work.
