It is that time again; the time when we, as a school, collectively look back at

the past year to evaluate our successes, acknowledge our failures and make
plans to keep moving forward. But 2020 has been a time unlike any other,
pervasive with a feeling of doom and uncertainty.

So, it is with great pride that I talk about the many ways that the DPS
Newtown community has come together to support and cheer each other

throughout this year. In spite of our students having spent their time
sequestered at home; away from their friends and teachers; our school

calendar has been buzzing with excitement and activity. Teachers and
students have seamlessly adopted online teaching – our‘new normal’ for the

year.
No matter what they do, the students at DPS Newtown constantly strive for
excellence and this is what makes our school one of premier institutions of

the city. With this same energy and enthusiasm, our students now present
the first ever digital version of our school magazine – Udaan. So, when you

read this, I hope you can feel the love and hard work that every student and
teacher has dedicated in bringing this to you.
A big congratulations to

everyone who participated in helping Udaan soar.
