IX. SULPHUR.
In December the Eastern Gulf Oil Company decided to take
up their Sulphur option ani they duly notified the Shaikh.
X, IMPERIAL BANK 0? IRAN.
Negotiations for a banking agreement were completed
by 18th December between the Shaikh and the Imperial Bank of
Iran, The Imperial Bank of Iran propose to open a branch at
Kuwait at the earliest possible moment,
XI. ROYAL NAVY. The following vessels of His Majesty's Navy
visited Kuwait during the year under report:
13th April H.M.I.S. Lawrence,
19th April H,r!,S, Leander,
5th June, H.H.S, Enterprise,
25th July. H.X.S. Falmouth,
XII, ROYAL AIR FORCE. Airoraft of the Royal Air Force landed
at Kuwait as usual in the oourse of their ordinary routine
duties during the year under review*
