C*I*E*, Political Resident in the Persian Gulf, formally
presented to Shaikh Salman a Kharita from Hia Excellency
the Viceroy congratulating him upon his succession to the
Sheikhdom of Bahrain*
In July 1942 Hia Majesty the King graciously approved

the grant to His Highness Shaikh Salman of a personal
salute of 11 guns* (The dynastic salute of the Ruler of
Bahrain is 7 guns)*
