projects. By the end of the year the Dukhan field had

been closed and only 35 Arab guards remained to guard the
Company’s premises, In November the Political Agent
concluded an agreement with the Shaikh of ;ntar which
provided for the continuance of certain facilities during
the war and recorded certain financial undertakings entered

into by the Company.
