ADMINISTRATION REPORT FOR BUSH IRE AREA FOR 1944.
SECTION I
OFFICIALS
(a) British
(i) The Hon'ble Sir Geoffrey Prior K.C.I.E., held
the office of Political Resident in the Persian Gulf throughout
the year with the exception of a short period from 19th
October to 4th November when Major T. Hickinbothara C.I.E., O.B.E.
officiated.
(ii) Mr. R.G. Daub any, O.B.E., held the office of
Secretary to the Political Resident and Additional Consul
throughout the year.
(iii) Major J.3. Howes, O.3.E., held the office of
His Majesty*s Consul until 15th February when Captain ?.J. Keen,
M.B.E., took over,-holding the post until loth October.
Captain Raw then held charge until 18th November, v/hen he
handed over to Mr. T.E. Rogers, I.C.S., who was holding charge
at the end of the year.
(iv) The office of His Majesty*s Vice-Consul was
held throughout the year as follows:
1st January to 15th January: Vacant •
15th January to 11th April: Itr. G.I7. Jackson.
11th ^-pril to 10th Hay: Captain P.J. Keen, M.B.E.
10th Lray to 18th November: Captain tf.G. Raw.
I8th November to 28th November: ?Ir. T.E. Rogers,
I.C.S.
From 28th November: Hr. R.M. Hadow, I.C.S.
(v) The office of Under Secretary to the Political
Resident was held by Ur. G.N. Jackson from 1st January to
14th February, by tlr. E.E. Thomas from 15th February to
1st Nay and by Hr. 2. Croning, I.S.O., M.B.E., from 2nd May
to the end of the year*
(vi) Major a.L* Greenway, M.B.E •i held the post of
Residency Surgeon until 3rd December, when he proceeded on
short leave to India, Dr. R. Easey, Assistant Residency
