In tho latter part of tho yoar bad weather conditions
resulting in rain and high winds were in part responsible for
no fewer than 166 power distribution failures* It must be

recorded that thoso failures wore very largely due to the
condition of tho external circuits which aro in urgent need
of overhaul, replacements, and repair. Tho condition of the

in the next two or three nonths, there will not be a sufficient
reserve of power to allow for essential overhaul of machinery.
The Bahrain Government will soon be faced with demands for
additional olcotrical power for air conditioning and lighting

and they are being urged by the Agency to embark on a sound
long tom reorganisation plan designed to provide adequate
generating power with reasonable reserves hot only for their
present demands but for future expansion*
